The Principals reserves the right to alter the rules and conditions of the school.
The Principals reserves the right to alter the price and times of classes with half a terms notice to parents.
The Principals reserves the right to exclude pupils who are consistently disruptive or badly behaved.
Bullying or bad behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
Fees
are due in advance of each term. Invoices for fees will be given at
the end of every term and should be settled by the first lesson of the
following term, after which a 10% surcharge will be added. Payment by
the class is not allowed.
It is necessary at times for teachers
to place their hands on pupils and physically place them into a correct
position or movement. All our teachers are fully qualified and hold
current CRB certificates (Police Checks). If parents or carers object
to this method of teaching they should inform the Principles
immediately as it is probable that The Jam Academy will not be able to
include those pupils in our classes.
Occasionally we may require pictures for the website or promotional brochures.
If you have any objections to this please contact us immediately.
Ballet
Classes - We allow parents to stay in the class for the first session
and for those children who take longer to settle in for a further few
weeks. We encourage parents to let the children attend the class alone
as we have found that the children engage in the class a lot more when
their parents are not in the room. There is a comfortable waiting area
in the building where parents can wait and will be called if their
children ask for them or need to visit the bathroom.
On the occasion where distant relatives are visiting we will allow them to sit and watch for that week.
Parents and other family members are all invited to watch the final class of the term.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Jam Academy is run by performers still actively involved in showbusiness. This way children get first hand experience of training and performing. On the occasion that a teacher is away filming or working in their professional capacity there will be a teacher of an equally high standard to cover the classes.
If ever the safety or the standard of the school is compromised due to teachers being away (whether it be working or sick) the classes will be cancelled for that week, with a refund for classes cancelled by the Principals only, given the following week.
